Well, we're BEGINNING to get settled a tiny bit into the house. We have a functional hot water heater and so we feel very fancy. We are having a home security system installed very soon - our "walk-through" appointment for that is this Friday. We have a room in our home that will be the playroom - it is technically a "3-season" room where space heaters are needed for the winter time because it is really just an enclosed porch - and we had intended to have the insulation done and/or just upgrade the heater in there for a couple of months per year - but it had a locking door that blocked it off from the rest of the house. Several times now we have gotten locked out - but always with our keys and then the inevitible happened - we were locked in our house on the wrong side of the door with no key - so Greg had to break down the door - very solidly made door mind you - and now its a little breezier on that end of the house. LOL! But - we had intended to remove that door anyway - just not so soon - and you know - probably by just taking it off the hinges. So we're focusing on that part of the house a little ahead of schedule now to get things rearranged in there with a different kind of outside door and with replacement heaters etc.
The boys have beds now! They have been sleeping on mattresses on the floor of their room - which worked really well for the most part - but I think they are very glad to be in their own actual beds now. Ash looks especially relieved - all the responsibility and excitment of being able to get up and walk around whenever he wanted was just wearing him out (and us too!).
The guest room is mostly painted - we're going to finish that up today or tomorrow and we have our guest bedroom set - we just need to put it together. (quickly! Mom and Dad H. arrive Friday!!)
