Easter weekend

After a pancake breakfast, we took the boys to the Arboretum in Evanston for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We missed the first "round" of the egg hunt, so we went across the street to the playground for about an hour and the boys had so much fun playing in the sandbox and climbing and sliding and running around.  Then we headed back to the Arboretum for the egg hunt!  The boys collected eggs, traded them in for tickets and then "bought" prizes with their tickets.  All of the prizes were nature related toys (mostly frogs!).  Afterwards, we all got a bag of popcorn and headed home for lunch.  On Sunday we got up and Greg made a lovely brunch for all of us and the boys opened their Easter baskets and their candy-filled plastic eggs.  They LOVED this.  Then we hid all the eggs in the back yard for another Easter egg hunt and later we pulled out the colored "bubbles" to blow in the yard until everyone's fingers were all purple.  We skyped with Granny and Grandpa in the evening to wish them a Happy Easter as well.
