Getting back to our regularly scheduled programming
Well we're getting back into our routine slowly but surely here after the holidays. We left the 22nd of December and flew into Atlanta to meet up with Mom & Dad H and our flight got in so late that we spent the night at what is now my favorite little budget hotel in Atlanta - the Red Roof Inn. (honestly, its so nice and very cute and spacious - nice bathrooms!) They were so sweet to get us a room with 2 pack n'plays, a refrigerator and a microwave for the kids. SO helpful! Thank you! The next morning we woke up (relatively) early and went to meet Deanna and Jeff for breakfast. It was very good to see her and I'm glad she was able to work us in her schedule. Jeff joined us in our drive to NC and off we went! We took two cars (including mom's new Rav 4, Barcelona!) to Spindale, and we stopped a lot. For us, and for the boys. After checking into our hotel - again so nice with a frige/microwave and 2 full-sized cribs (which was SO very comfy for the boys since we were staying for a few days), we went to visit with Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Gene, Carolyn's mom, Shelley and Amanda, Cory and Parker (cousins). Over all, we had a wonderful visit and a great time and the food was just fabulous and we ate far too much. We are are just thrilled that Max and Ash met their cousin Parker. I think that Aunt Carolyn had a wonderful time playing wth Ash and holding him and feeding him and he seemed to really take a liking to her as well. He just loves a good snuggly person. And Santa was absolutely the icing on the cake. It really made the Christmas a true experience to remember. I'll post pictures shortly! (and finish with all about our evening looking at lights in downtown Spindale and our visit with Dad S and Lois)
