September 11th

Max:

September 11, 2008
Max is almost 2 now. We go to the playground almost every day to let him get out and run around and so that he can play with the kids in the neighborhood. He really really loves the sand box and walking around with plastic shovels. Throwing the ball is also a new and fun game for him. He’s so sweet and has such a mellow and easy going personality. He likes to give the kids he meets hugs and kisses. This coming Sunday is his friend Tony Adams, Jr.’s birthday party. Its being held at the park and we’re all going. This will be the third birthday party invite that he has gotten and the second that he has attended.
We let him pick out a yogurt from our “yogurt drawer” in the refrigerator as his evening snack before bed and he get so excited he squeals and shakes. Its super cute. We read books every evening before bed and tonight we read Good Night Sweet Butterflies (one of his very favorite books) and Baby Einstein See and Spy Shapes (this one we read twice). Last week he said “sand” while he was in the sandbox, but we haven’t heard him say it again yet.

Ash:

Ash is 8 weeks old this week. He’s so amazing. He smiles at us already and we are able to play with him now a little bit. He seems to really like to be tickled and when we touch his nose or his tummy. He has these beautiful bright blue eyes and (when he’s awake) he is always looking around, taking everything in. He of course goes with us to the park every day and loves to look up at the sky and the trees/leaves. Max loves to give him kisses and he tries to play with his fingers and toes. We’re trying to encourage him to be gentle.
