We went to the Hoshko/Mascari's for dinner and a playdate on Tuesday. We were so proud of the boys. They played so well with Charlie and Eddie. Max even got to play games while we were there. We had some delicious Italian cookies and then we all went out to Applebee's for dinner. Scarlett got a little fussy, but even then - everyone was surprisingly well behaved considering we were a bit off schedule. On the way home, I think Scarlett was just overly tired. She was fussy in her carseat and Ash was comforting her saying, "We're almost home Scarlett - its ok - we're almost there". It was SO sweet. He has really come along way with accepting his sister, playing with her and showing affection. I'm so very proud of him.
The boys are getting used to me cooking more often and have started asking, "What did you make Mommy?", when its meal time. That makes me very happy. Max and Ash are also improving so much with their manners, saying "please" and "thank you" most of the time and "yes mam/sir or no mam/sir". They are growing up so fast! We had picture day at Ash's school a couple of weeks ago and they allow siblings to be in the picture so we got some fabulous photos of the kids. I hope we can pick them up next week.
Today it was cold and wet outside, so we just stayed at home. Ash enjoyed playing with his play-doh pizza maker set that he received for Christmas and Max played Lego Star Wars on the Wii. Scarlett is looking more and more like a toddler every day. Her speech is getting more and more clear with "ma ma" and "da da" and "na na". She is enjoying her solid foods - bananas, cheerios, pudding, grapes and a green bean every now and then too. Oatmeal is probably still her favorite. We all watched an "Eloise" show after bath time this evening and then were off to bed. Tomorrow's a big day after all - its Scarlett's 1st birthday!! (I can't believe it).
